» Zappanale #21 – program update!
Did you really think that the program of Zappanale #21, the small yet so great festival is set which leaves us sitting back doing nothing? Well, you're wrong. We still think about surprising you. And so we are happy to present you two more artists who have been on stage with Frank Zappa for a long time and who both did their part to affect the music and the sound live and in studio in an essential way.
Absolutely not "Outside Now" and being a good friend and "old" acquaintance of Zappanale: Ike Willis will be on stage again and will delight the audience with his voice and guitar.
But that's not the end of the story! We all did guess: As much as he felt at ease with us and as much fun he had last year playing with Sheik Yerbouti and Project Object, it won't be long until he will come again. The man, the voice of "City of Tiny Lights", Mr. Robert Martin will be back!
And so again authenticity of Zappanale #21 is guaranteed, just the way you and we want it to be. Denny Walley, Napoleon Murphy Brock, Robert Martin, Ike Willis and Jean-Luc Ponty in summer 2010 in Bad Doberan – isn't that mind-blowing? And in addition the street-sweeper from last year, Daevid Allen and all the other sensational bands? We can't wait ourselves.
But it's still not the time for leaning back... Expect the unexpectable! There are some crazy ideas left.
