» Filthy Habits Ensemble

Reviewers can't contain their enthusiasm and soon we all can experience The Filthy Habits Ensemble on stage. The band from Barcelona- consisting of eight musicians - has committed itself to the work of Frank Zappa, and that's what they are going to show us!
Altogether there are six saxophones in all tone pitches, trumpet and clarinet, fortified by electric bass, electric guitar, drums and several keyboard instruments which are perfect for pieces as Big Swifty, Dupree's Paradise as well as Chunga's Revenge, King Kong, not to forget Eat that question. Easy to see that Filthy Habits Ensemble has concentrated their musical repertoire on songs from the late 1960’s to the mid 1970’s.

The saxophonist and clarinetist, El Pricto has been responsible for all the magnificent music arrangements for all of the repertoire. Together with the rythymn section, who’s task has not been an easy one, and together with their particular interpretation has paved the way for the musicians, notably the wind section, to develop their solos.
A little bit more sober one could say that the implementations from Filthy Habits are most astounding: This band is going to leave you standing, mouth open, at Zappanale #21. Their sound and outermost precision will guarantee a terrific performance in Bad Doberan. If technical possible they are going to accompagny their gig with several video projections.
Another example form enthusiastic review: „It was hypnotic like a mirage, someone dressed up in a gorilla suit invaded the lounge area, as “King Kong”, was being played, taking the audience to infinity, in an experience that is difficult to explain but must be seen to be believed.“
