Stefan Hüfners ¡ZAPPATA!

Originally ¡ZAPPATA! was planned as a former project at the NOW!-Festival 2011 in Essen. This year the musicians took the road to Bad Doberan and are going to meet the Zappanale audience. The project ist dedicated mainly to the Zappa's song oriented work and will surprise the audience with elements dissimilar to pop and rock, word play and satirical as well as dadaistic absurd lyrics.

Stefan Hüfner has written the adaption of the song material which Zappa published in the 70's and 80's. The concert in Essen became such a big success that the Folkwang University Essen decided to start with CD production.

In addition to the complex and sophisticated arrangements and the top-class line-up it's been especially Folkwang Jazz Awardee Mara Minjoli who caused quite a stir as female performer of Zappa material.
